Free Workplace Sleep Health Assessment

To help organisations understand how sleep is affecting wellbeing, performance and safety at work, we offer a free workplace sleep health assessment.

The assessment provides a clear, evidence-based snapshot of sleep across your workforce, including the specific challenges faced by shift workers, early starters and employees with irregular schedules. It is confidential, clinician-designed and offered with no obligation, helping organisations identify where targeted support could have the greatest impact.

Many sleep problems in working adults remain unrecognised or untreated, meaning organisations are often managing the impact without visibility of the cause.

What the Assessment is

The assessment is a confidential, clinician-designed sleep survey completed by employees online.

It focuses on:

  • Sleep quality and duration

  • Insomnia symptoms and sleep disruption

  • Fatigue, concentration and productivity

  • Mood, energy and day-to-day functioning

  • Indicators of possible sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea and insomnia

  • The impact of shift work, early starts and irregular schedules on sleep and recovery

The survey is designed to be quick to complete, accessible, and suitable for a wide range of roles and work patterns.

The process

1. Survey launch
We work with you to distribute the assessment to your workforce. Participation is voluntary and responses are anonymous.

2. Data analysis
Our clinical team reviews the data at a population level, paying particular attention to:

  • Differences between shift-based and non-shift roles

  • Patterns of chronic sleep restriction and circadian disruption

  • Indicators of fatigue-related risk

3. Organisation-level report
You receive a clear summary report outlining:

  • Key sleep challenges across your workforce

  • Specific insights relating to shift work and irregular schedules

  • Areas of risk and opportunity

  • How your data compares with wider UK sleep patterns

  • Practical, evidence-based recommendations for next steps

No individual employee data is shared.

What you’ll learn about your workforce

The assessment helps organisations understand:

  • How common sleep problems are across different roles and work patterns

  • Whether shift workers are experiencing chronic sleep restriction or fatigue

  • How sleep is affecting mood, energy, concentration and productivity

  • Whether a proportion of employees may be at risk of undiagnosed sleep disorders, such as sleep apnoea

  • Whether sleep problems appear short-term or longstanding

In a recent workplace assessment involving over 130 responses, the results highlighted widespread short sleep duration, significant impacts on performance and wellbeing, and clear indicators of both insomnia and possible sleep apnoea risk — including among employees working irregular or demanding schedules

What happens next

Following the assessment, we help organisations decide how to respond to what the data shows.

This may include:

  • A workplace workshop presenting the findings, including shift-specific insights

  • Targeted education on themes such as insomnia, fatigue, shift work, menopause or early starts

  • Access to digital sleep education and on-demand resources

  • Clear referral pathways for employees who may benefit from further clinical support

There is no obligation to proceed — the assessment is intended to support informed decision-making.

Why we offer this for free

Many organisations — particularly those with shift-based or safety-critical roles — know sleep is an issue but lack the insight to act confidently.

Our free assessment helps:

  • Replace assumptions with evidence

  • Identify risks linked to fatigue and shift work

  • Focus support where it will have the greatest impact
